We Had A Visitor

We gotted a wittle visitor at my palace.

Most of da pack never saws anyting like dis before.

We nose we had to protect Mom from dis intrusion

BUTT

We didn't nose what to do.

If any buddy out dere sees dis invador from anudder planet,
pleeeze call da po-lice.

Da Crime Scene
One morning da Dadster left real early for work
so
Da Momster decided to go back for a short nap (we wuv it when her does dis).
All nine of da pack was all curled up wit her on her BIG bed, jus' mindin' our own businesses
WHEN
one of us sees a dark shadowy figure run by da doorway.

Wee all jump off da BIG bed a hootin' and a howlin'
and
da Momster almost bounced right on da floor.

Dis alien from anudder planet runs back down da stairs to da family room from where it came.
BUTT
where do it go from dere?

Dat funny monster climbed right up da curtains
and
sat right dere laughin' at us.

How did dis creature get in you ask?
Right through OUR
DOGGIE DOOR

Not one, butt tree
DOGGIE DOORS
and den all da way up da stairs to da living room.

DA NERVE OF IT!!!

And, den da Momster had da nerve to chase da 9-Pack out to da yard and
CLOSE DA DOOR!

DA NERVE OF HERS!!!

Da feature creature from anudder planet came right down to da Momster wit its motor runnin'.
(look out Mom...might run you ovr')

Da Momster called it "purrin" whatever dat means.

We all was lookin tru da window and saw da Momster
HOLDING IT
And
RUBBIN' IT
And
LOVIN' IT

NO   NO   NO  NO  NO

Den her picked it up, and let it out da front door!

Wee comes back in sniffin' all ovr da palace tryin' to finds it
BUTT
It was sittin' on da front porch
(OUR FRONT PORCH)
takin' a baf!

DA NERVE!!!!

Da Momster den splained dat many of our furends in
Blogville
look jus' like dis creature from anudder planet dat we never saws before.

So, guess we could be furends wit dis furry invador
BUTT
him never comed back again.

We tinks his palace is in anudder world
BUTT
Mom says it be across da street!
***********
Den Mom showed us dis movie bout how dogs and dis kinds of creature can be best furends.

Life Goes On

Everyting seems so different in our house.
Mom and Dad are still so sad cause da Tucker isn't wit us anymore.  Me tries to tell Mom dat him is still here butt her can't see him.  Silly Mom.  Guess me jus' has to sit on hers lap more so her isn't so sad anymore.

Her didn't even have da flashy beast out dis week so me has no new fotos to shows ya'll.
{BIG SIGH}

**********

Ok, Mom, now you says HELLO to everyones...
**********

Ok, Amber, it is different around here without my "little guy" as I would call him following me everywhere I went.  But he is in my heart and he always will be.

A very special THANK YOU for all your wonderful, kind comments on our loss.  That helped us more than anything.  Just knowing we aren't alone to face our grief is more cherished that words can say.

THANK YOU, FRIENDS

*************

Since we haven't taken any pictures since Tucker left us, I would like to share something else with you.  A friend sent this to me last week after Tucker died, and it really made me stop and think about every word.  I hope that you can all relate to it in some way.

(By the way, this also applies to our feline friends)

****************
I Am Your Dog
I am your dog, and I have a little something I'd like
to whisper in your ear. I know that you humans lead busy lives. Some have
to work, some have children to raise. It always seems like you are
running here and there, often much too fast, often never noticing the truly
grand things in life. Look down at me now, while you sit there at your
computer. See the way my dark brown eyes look at yours? They are slightly cloudy
now. That comes with age. The gray hairs are beginning to ring my soft
muzzle.

You smile at me; I see love in your eyes. What do you
see in mine? Do you see a spirit? A soul inside, who loves you as no
other could in the world? A spirit that would forgive all trespasses of prior
wrong doing for just a simple moment of your time? That is all I ask. To
slow down, if even for a few minutes to be with me. So many times you
have been saddened by the words you read on that screen, of other of my kind,
passing. Sometimes we die young and oh so quickly, sometimes so suddenly
it wrenches your heart out of your throat. Sometimes, we age so slowly
before your eyes that you may not even seem to know until the very end, when
we look at you with grizzled muzzles and cataract clouded eyes. Still the
love is always there, even when we must take that long sleep, to run free
in a distant land.

I may not be here tomorrow; I may not be here next
week. Someday you will shed the water from your eyes, that humans have when
deep grief fills their souls, and you will be angry at yourself that you
did not have just "One more day" with me. Because I love you so, your
sorrow touches my spirit and grieves me. We have NOW, together. So come, sit
down here next to me on the floor, and look deep into my eyes. What do you
see? If you look hard and deep enough we will talk, you and I, heart to
heart. Come to me not as "alpha" or as "trainer" or even "Mom or Dad," come
to me as a living soul and stroke my fur and let us look deep into one
another's eyes, and talk.

I may tell you something about the fun of chasing a
tennis ball, or I may tell you something profound about myself, or even life
in general. You decided to have me in your life because you wanted a soul
to share such things with. Someone very different from you, and here I am.
I am a dog, but I am alive. I feel emotion, I feel physical senses, and I
can revel in the differences of our spirits and souls. I do not think of
you as a "Dog on two feet" -- I know what you are. You are human, in all
your quirkiness, and I love you still.

Now, come sit with me, on the floor. Enter my world,
and let time slow down if only for 15 minutes. Look deep into my eyes,
and whisper to my ears. Speak with your heart, with your joy and I will
know your true self. We may not have tomorrow, and life is oh so very short.

Gone but Never to be Forgotten

Our Little Guy lost his battle with lung cancer on
8/2/11
when the tumor started to block his airway.

We all miss him terribly and will never forget his sweet smile and the way he tilted his head when someone spoke to him.

A special thanks to all of Blogville for all your kind comments and prayers during Tucker's last days.  And also a big thank you to
THE CROSSED PAWS GROUP
for making those last days happy ones for Tucker.
**********
This was the last photo taken of Tucker before the final trip to the vet to begin his journey to Rainbow Bridge and a life free of pain.
He held onto his new Wubba until the end.

Da Momster will takes over now....we busy!

Well, DaWeenies and the rest of them are all having fun with their presents so I guess I'll take over from here.
Tucker went in for his fourth chemo treatment on Friday.  They also took new x-rays to see what the tumor was doing.  Unfortunately, the news isn't too good.

The primary tumor is a little bit smaller...that's the only good news.  The bad news is that there are numerous smaller tumors beginning to form throughout his lungs.  The oncologist who is treating Tucker said the only option was to change the chemo drug and see if we get better results.  This drug would be given every 3 weeks instead of weekly.

We decided to go ahead and give it a try.  It was either that or just give up and I'm not ready for that just yet.  So Tucker received the first dose of the new drug on Friday.

Things are looking pretty bad at the moment.  Even though Tucker seems to be breathing a lot easier now, he has stopped eating and is going downhill rapidly.  The reason for this could be one of two things.  The tumor has taken over and we are now looking at the end getting that much closer...OR...the change of the chemo drug has made him sick.  I'll be discussing this with the oncologist this afternoon.  In the meantime, Tucker is comfortable and sleeping most of the time.  He is drinking lots of water so that much is in his favor.  He hasn't eaten anything since Saturday morning and seems like he's losing a lot of weight.

Please keep him in your prayers no matter what the outcome of this turns out to be.  I keep hoping he'll suddenly wake up and be hungry again but in the back of my mind, I know this probably won't happen.

I want to thank everyone for their kindness and support and a special thank you to the Crossed Paws Group.  The pictures I got of Tucker the day he received his wonderful gifts may very well turn out to be the very last pictures I'll ever have of Tucker enjoying life.

Hugs and Love to All...
Mom
