And Then There Were Nine...

♥♥♥♥♥

Bailey was always such a happy girl

She accepted all the crazy outfits we would put on her with dignity

She was a silly girl and kept us laughing when we felt like crying

She was a party girl

She thought the pool was hers and hers alone

She was the rescuer of tennis balls

She loved a good morning nap

And a good afternoon nap

And she loved her blue ball

Most of all she loved life and she loved her family

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for all your prayers and words of comfort both for Bailey and for our daughter, Shelly.

We nearly lost Shelly on February 11 when her heart stopped at the hospital and it took five minutes of CPR to bring her back.  For 3 weeks she fought for her life on a ventilator and a dialysis machine.  She couldn't speak at all and they kept her sedated most of the time.

She was getting two units of blood every day because something was draining her blood supply.  They couldn't perform an MRI because her kidneys weren't functioning.

Then a couple days ago things started to get a bit better.  I believe it's all the POTP she was getting from all our friends in Blogville.

She is still facing a heart cath, and the amputation of her right leg below the knee and her fingertips.  Please keep her in your prayers as she still has a very long and hard road ahead of her.

Please forgive me for not posting or commenting as often as I would like.  I do visit all of you on my phone while I'm sitting at the hospital because that's the only thing that makes me smile.

I don't know when things will return to normal again.  But I do know that we love all of you.

Amber, Max, and the rest of the pack all say...

WOOF
