Remembering All The Wonderful Dogs in Our Lives

Thank you, Amber, for letting me take over your blog on this very special day.

Over the years we have shared our home with so many very special dogs.  Each one of them takes a big part of our hearts when they are called to the Rainbow Bridge.  But each one fills that hole with so many wonderful memories......memories we will always cherish.

We recently got settled in our new home after watching it being built for nearly a year.  One of the first things we did was re-locate our "Memory Shelf".

Beginning in 2009 I designed a Keepsake Box for each pup who began their journey to the Bridge.

Each box contains their collar and some of their fur.

♥♥♥♥♥

In 2001 we started a Memorial Garden in the yard at the old house.  When we had the new house built, we knew we couldn't leave the Garden behind.  So we re-located our Memorial Garden as well.  We completed the move just a week ago.  All the headstones were moved but I still have seven more to design and order to complete the Garden .

♥♥♥♥♥

I know all my furbabies who have been in my life over the last 67 years are waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge.

♥♥♥♥♥

We also remember all our friends who have left during 2015 and 2016.

♥♥♥♥♥

A special thank you to Deb Barnes of
for organizing this event.

I love the memory box idea. We still have all of Katie's things but Mom is too sad to do anything with them yet, but we like good ideas. Hugs to all who have lost furry family members.

your memorial garden is beautiful.... and I like the ideas with the collars in a box. I think I will put frosty's collar in a box too... it's in my bed chest... and always when I look for something there and see the collar my tears are running for hours...

Wow, that is so wonderful that you moved all the headstones and all the memories. Like you, we have lots of memories of all our doggies and kitties and horses and donkeys that have left us. The memory boxes is such a great idea. What a great way to remember them all.

What a great idea. We have collars from our Angels but never thought to put them in a box. Each is cremated and it would be easy to do. The memorial garden is fabulous too.

I LOVE your memory garden and memory shelf. Also, loved that you took it with you when you moved - but of course, with your huge heart, I knew you would. We have a little garden for Pip. I'm still looking for the perfect Yorkie statue for it.

Goodness mom is such a slacker! She only has urns of her last 3 kitties and she regrets not having Danny's. With cats there wasn't a whole lot to save but I know she'll do something special for me, like you did for all your babies. Love Dolly

Wat a wonderful idea to have a memory shelf for each dog and a memory garden. Can only imagine it was a lot of work to relocate it.
