Hey...Who Turned Off Da Lights???

OMD!
Why do it be so dark in here?
Where da sun??
Why do me gots to see wit my nose instead of my eyeballs???

Mommy says my PRA is advancing
(whatever dat means?)

Da eye dogter told us 3 years ago dat me gots a condition called PRA.
(Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
Me would stop seeing one day and dat day is ALMOST here.
Me still sees a wittle bit at a distance butt me bumps into stuffs right in front of me.

My pack is tryin' to help by bein' my
SEEIN' EYE DOGS!
(Even though Brudder Max (DaUdderWeenie) keeps tryin' to push me down da stairs or off da bed)

Mommy keeps tellin me dat dey all luvs me and everyting will be A-OK.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
And speakin' bout eyeballs.........
Mommy has CATS in her eyeballs and even some calcified stuffs behind da CATS.
Her don't see so good right now so her NOSE just how me feels.

Do some buddy wanna be me ASSistant since me is firing Mommy??

Anywho....Mommy is havin' surgicals on Moaning Monday to remove those kitties from her eyeballs.  Please keep your paws crossed fur success so her can see again.

PeeS....If any buddy finds some extra eyeballs layin' around, can you send 'em to me?  Seems we're having a shortage of good eyeballs at my house.
♥♥♥♥♥

WOOF!

POTP to both you and your mom, Amber. My mum has been having major eye problems since December 2013 when she had a fall out of her wheelchair and ruptured her eyeball. She has had several surgeries, but still does not see to well out of that eye. A year ago she had a lens sewn into that eye, but it did not help too much. Her eyelid has really drooped so she is having surgery on that at end of October. She also had cats removed from her right eye, and she sees MUCH better our of that eye. My Uncle vic also had cats removed from BOTH eye and does not have to wear glasses any more!!! So, we hope your mom has as good results.

Aw, Amber, we wish we had a bucket of eyeballs hanging around we could send you. We're sorry your PRA has advanced but we know your mom and siblings will take good care and help you adjust. Meanwhile, if you are bumping into things up close, we suggest you not try to lead your mom around until she can see better. We send lots of purrs that everything goes well for her.

All paws crossed for your Mom's surgery - hope the cats vacate nicely. And we are sorry about your vision. Mom had a dog once who had both eyes removed. He did quite well as long as everything in his world stayed in the same place. He had a very hard time when the family moved to another house but overall he was quite adept at finding his way around. We hope the same will be true for you.

Our Miss Ginger was completely blind by the time she was 6 years old. That didn't slow her down one bit! She still ran around the yard, and led the way on walkies!

SHE worked with blind kids for years, so SHE knows that you'll be able to cope without seeing. Don't know what to do about Brudder Max, though. Paws crossed for your Mom, we know lots of peeps who had those Cats and they've come out fine. BUTT we're still sending POTP.

Oh, no! Sweet Amber we are so sorry to hear about all the eye issues. Our Mumsy has cats in her eyes too but the doctor said too early for surgery. After your mom has the surgery she will be able to assist you again. It will just take a short time and she will be doing great. We are sending loves and prayers for both you. Big hugs all around from all of us.

Hi Amber - We've missed you but we're so upset to hear your news. But we know that dogs like you are incredibly tough, and you'll probably learn how to live really well even without full sight. You're an amazing girl.

As for your mom, I hope that the surgery for the kitties goes smoothly. My dad had that surgery, and he was absolutely amazed by how much his vision improved. He hadn't realized how clearly he had been able to see before the kitties jumped into his eyes.

I am sending POTP to both you and your mom!

Oh my darling Amber, we just read the news about you going blind like me but it won't change the love everybody has for you and how you are treated. Maybe I should talk to Max for you. I bet he'll start guiding you around like my Mona did me. I am always watching from the bridge and looking out for you too....with all my love....your Weenie

Oh Linda, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope everything went OK today and I just wish I was there to help you.......God Bless Sarah

Sending our strongest White Dog healing energies and positive vibes that mom's cat surgery goes without hitch, that recovery is swift, and that her vision is much better...as for you dear friend, as YoYoMa always reminds us (he is blind, too) dogs have the ability to see with their hearts. We pups are able to get down to the business of using other senses to get around and unlike humans, we don't spend time sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves...we are awesome! You know that!

Well I am looking at the date on this post and realizing your Mommy's surgery is behind her. We pray she has had a great outcome and that her eyeballs can see fine again. Amber I wish your vision could be fixed but with it happening slowly the adjust must be a little easier. When I met you I remember it had already started to happen but you sure knew where the food was.
Thanks for being a friend
